TESTIMONIALS

"My 12 year old daughter attended the camp this week and has done things there that has inspired self confidence and belief in herself which is an invaluable attribute for any child to posses. The camp has delivered as promised. It has shown her how to believe in herself and to push her limits in a fun, safe atmosphere. There is little doubt that she has grown as a result of the camp when I hear her make statements like “I told myself that even if I was scared, I was going to do it”. The counselors have been a very positive influence on the kids and it has been great to hear of the new friendships that have been forged in such a short period of time. I would really hope that this camp is available for all children in the years to come. I know that my daughter is looking forward to attending as long as she can."

- Camper Parent 2013

"As a minor hockey coach of a team consisting of girls from several centres (i.e. Sarnia, Mooretown, Wallaceburg, Glencoe, East Lambton, Petrolia), I was looking for an off-ice, away-from-the-arena facility that would foster team-building, confidence-building, communication and accomplishment in a non-pressure environment (challenge by choice) so the girls would get to know their teammates better before the season began. This is exactly what the customized program you put together for us accomplished. I would highly recommend a workshop at the Leadership Challenge Centre for any sports team, workplace, class or group interested in a fun, out-of-the-box day of fun, learning and challenge. Our team “Accepted the Challenge” and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will enjoy a hockey season with their teammates that began on the right foot because of the Leadership Challenge Centre. I anticipate a collection of new leaders on my team!"

- Erin White, Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting

“Leaders are made, not born. Sarnia needs a place like this that will help kids involved in sports to become better leaders. It will show them what it means to be a leader, how to act and lead by example, and will provide a way to develop young people to make a difference.”

- Paul Craievich, President Lambton Junior Sting AAA hockey

“This is alternative education at its best. It’s not ropes, it’s hope. For some kids, scaling the wall may be the only success they have all year. It may make the difference between getting in trouble and asking for the help. This is the investment our youth need to become leaders.”

- Brian DeWagner, Coordinator YIELD program
